Covid-19, as a pandemic disease around the world, has generated great threat to human society and caused enormous mortality with weak surveillance system. Mathematics has the potential to make significant contributions to the spread and control of Covid-19 pandemic. A brief summary of our research effort in this direction is presented. This effort helped in gaining insights into the spread and control of Covid-19 through mathematical modeling. In our efforts, we presented a mathematical model to describe the transmission and control of Covid-19. We examined mathematically the impact of isolation and quarantine on the control of Covid-19 during the outbreaks in Nigeria using a deterministic model. The result revealed that fast isolation of imported infection cases can reduce epidemic risk. We also assessed the impact of public health education campaign on the spread of Covid-19 via a deterministic epidemic model. We proved also that when the effective reproduction number is less than one, Covid-19 can be eradicated. The result also revealed that efficacy of education campaign in preventing infection and rate of educating susceptible individuals will have a positive impact in reducing the burden of Covid-19 in the community. Thus, this paper emphasizes the pressing need for the design of perfect public health education campaign to handle Covid-19 pandemic. Keywords: Covid-19, Mathematics, Modelling, Analysis.
