Abstract This study aims at estimating the number of stillbirth in Nigeria based on five – year period preceding the Nigeria 2013 National Demographic and Health Survey, using mother’s age at birth as background characteristic. Dawodu & Adewara, and Ahmad & Hanif procedures called DAP and AHP, here, were employed respectively. The data used revealed that DAP is more efficient than AHP using variance as the measure of efficiency, hence, preferred.
