Abstract This research paper was aimed at the effects of Breed Mathematics Teaching Method (BMTM) in Mathematics students? achievement that was applied to some selected students in public and private schools in comparison with the Conventional Mathematics Teaching Method (CMTM). The study is an experimental design with population of twenty-seven thousand (27,000) students from ten (10) public senior secondary schools and fifteen (15) private senior secondary schools in Warri South Local government areas of Delta State, Nigeria. The simple random sampling technique was adopted to select one hundred (100) students that formed the two (2) cohorts in the study. The instrument used to elicit responses from the respondents was researcher?s developed questionnaire entitled ?Breed Mathematics Teaching Methods Test Questionnaire (BMTMTQ)?. The study was guided by three (3) research questions and three (3) formulated research hypotheses, which were answered and tested by the mean, standard deviation and ANCOVA statistic at 5% level of significance respectively. The findings of the study showed that Mathematics students? who were exposed to Mathematics concept after six weeks training periods through Breed Mathematics Teaching Method (BMTM) have better Mathematics achievements in the experiment cohorts over those students? in the Conventional Mathematics Teaching Method (CMTM) in the control cohorts. Thus, in this regards, it was recommended among others that Mathematics teachers? at the secondary school level should apply Breed Mathematics Teaching Method (BMTM). Key Words: Breed Mathematics Teaching Method (BMTM);Simple random sampling Technique and Experimental design.
