Abstract Attitude is pupils? mental ability or knowledge disposition, readiness to respond, learned nature and evaluative character towards mathematics. This study sought to find the effects of number-bond game strategy in developing pupils? attitude towards mathematics. The study adopted pretest-post quasi-experimental research with 2x2 factorial matrix. Four primary schools were selected randomly from two difference local government areas in Ibadan through multiple sampling technique and one hundred and twelve participants in the game strategy and conventional group were chosen from selected schools. One instrument was used in the study that is pupils attitude mathematics scale (r=.83). The game strategy groups were exposed to two weeks training on number bond game strategy and conventional groups were exposed to ordinary teaching strategy. The results showed a significant main effect of strategy of pupils? attitude towards mathematics (F(1, 106)= 1.516, P<0.05, ?2= 0.356. There was no significant main effect of gender on pupils? attitude towards mathematics (F(1, 106) = 0.13, p>0.05, ?2= .061). Therefore, it was recommended that mathematics teachers should teach the subject using number bond game strategy to enhance positive pupils? attitudes towards learning of mathematics and to fostering their performance.
